Then you've probably have magically found the time to read this and don't exit the page yet. We see you. We've all been there. We'll try to keep this short and sweet.
Here are a few tips and encouragement to get you out of your rabbit hole:
Make a list of all your tasks and order them from most important or most time-sensitive to least.
This way, if you don't get around to tasks, you may possibly be able to push it to the next day. Or you can give each task a time frame, but also remember to include cushion time and break time. You don't want to burn yourself out.
Eat a snack and keep your water nearby.
Put your phone on Do Not Disturb and shut yourself out from the world.
Or maybe phone a friend.
Sometimes, body-doubling (having another body present in the room) can really help motivate you to complete your tasks even if your double is just sitting doing nothing.
Or if you need to get work done and you have to be sitting for a long time, go to a nearby coffee shop or the library or a hotel lobby.
Being in a productive space rather than a comfortable space can help you stay focused on tasks and it will help you feel like you're already taking a step forward by going outside.
If you feel like you can't sit for long amount of time or need to be moving, try a high table where you can stand or find a chair or footrest that allows you to tic.
Make a productive playlist on your free time.
Music can help with shutting out everything else or keeping you stimulated but in terms of genres, this can be particular with each person. Some people may like more upbeat, electronic music while others may prefer low-fi jazz, so you may have to take a little bit of time to find where you fall.
Just start already.
Or think about how stressed you'll be about all the time you let pass when you could have finished your tasks already, poured yourself a drink and did whatever you wanted to until bedtime.
Let us know in the comments below if y'all have any other tips that helped you. But after you get your work done.
Good Luck!

What a fantastic read! I couldn't help but nod in agreement as I scrolled through your tips, especially considering how I often find myself procrastinating until the last possible moment. There's something about working under pressure that just works for me, despite knowing deep down that tackling tasks earlier would significantly reduce my stress levels. Your suggestions, particularly about organizing tasks by importance and creating a productive environment, are spot-on. They remind me that incorporating structure and finding the right setting can make a world of difference in productivity levels. I'm inspired to experiment with some of your strategies, like making a productive playlist and trying out body-doubling, to see if they help me break the cycle of procrastination. Thanks…
I'll definitely save these tips for my next procrastination phase haha thank you! ✨
I struggle with procrastinating at times, bad but well-practiced habits are hard to kill. I don't like lists, they stress me out more than encourage me to get them done. "Just start already" is usually my approach when I feel like I'm avoiding something. Overthinking and planning how to achieve a task takes longer than just doing the thing.
This was a great pick me up. These are some things I need to start doing in order to be productive and center myself.
Fantastic list! Mom is all about lists - especially with checkmarks. She loves the checkmarks! She will sometimes break down a big task into a lot of small tasks to get the extra checkmarks which give the motivation to keep going. And if all else fails getting some exercise helps her to get back to task. Time after a walk or treadmill is always productive!
